Canine Acting--Tricks and Skits Class
This course is the absolute favorite of our human and canine students.
It is highly motivational. You must be a member or graduate of the 102 basic obedience class or have a solid recall and focus skills to enter this class. It will greatly help if your dog is food motivated.
We concentrate on teaching the five major canine acting behaviors: foot, touch, target, retrieve and jump along with learning various tricks, including wave, bow, roll over, bang, circle, nod, get the mail, get me a drink, pick up the trash, push the ball, pull the wagon, shame, jump over a stick, your leg, through your arms, over your back, zig zag, ride a skate board and more. You and your dog can be the life of the party as you entertain family and friends and perform with the "Canine Players" for public events.
The clicker, food rewards, lots of patience and practice along with a many laughs, are what the canine Skits and tricks acting classes are like. There is no immediate response like there is with obedience behaviors. You do not say NO, and it is up to you to motivate your dog to perform the behavior. You will learn to shape a behavior a step at a time to get the results you desire.
