THE BEST PUPPY CLASS
4 week course $75
All Puppies age 10 weeks to 16 weeks (18 wks for tiny dogs)
This amazing 4 week obedience/temperament course will give you the hands on knowledge that you will need in order to raise and train a socialized well mannered canine child. The window of opportunity for your pup to learn dog-to-human and dog-to-dog social skills closes greatly. These basic life skills will help your pup to grow into wonderful a companion who is a joy to share your life with. Anti social pups may grow into difficult, time consuming and sometimes dangerous adults.
Did you know that it is best if your pup meets at least 100 unfamiliar people before it reaches 3 months of age?
Did you realize that your pup must learn bite inhibition before the age of 7 months, or it may never be able to learn it at all?
Are you aware that you can teach your pup the important life lesson of: 'How to cope when it is left alone'?
How about housebreaking, do you realize that being rewarded for eliminating in the correct place is the fastest method, not punishing for mistakes?
Many households allow or even encourage their pups to run, jump, and pull on their kid's clothes or shoelaces as very young pups. This game seems so innocent and fun when a pup is very young but this same game at six or eight months can become dangerous and is often the reason that dogs are turned into the shelter.
Did you know that if you practice handling your dog's face, feet, body, and ears while a young pup will help dramatically to reduce stress when it has to be examined by a professional all through it's adult life?
How about food handling? gentling, mouthing, shushing, chewing, adolescence, digging, and more.
Come to school and learn about these topics and much more.
We encourage the whole family, including young children to participate in the puppy training course. You will learn positive techniques to master the common predictable puppy problems. We begin by teaching the pups their first words of communication with their human companions: sit, come, stand, down, off, and let's go.
All puppies deserve this head start. Waiting until a dog is five or six months to start training is old news.
What to bring on the first night:
Veterinary Record-bill or statement with the vaccines your pup has received
Treats-which could be their dog food, cheerios, cheese or other healthy tiny treats
Your entire family-all age children are welcome at the Best Puppy Class
