Formerly Thomas School For Dogs
THE ABSOLUTE BEST CHOICE FOR DOG OBEDIENCE
AND CANINE ACTING TRAINING ANYWHERE
After thirty two years the passion of teaching humans how to get the behavior they want from their canine companions remains strong. For over eighteen years our school has been serving the Randleman, Asheboro, Greensboro, High Point, Lexington, Archdale and all the surrounding areas.
Who said learning and practicing 'good canine manners' has to be boring?
At our dog school we will teach you how to teach your dog to exhibit good behavior. Our instructors will teach you the skills and training techniques needed to make you a great canine teacher for your special companion.
Our dog school is an upbeat, motivational place where you and your canine companion will feel comfortable and enjoy learning and working together.
Learning new knowledge and teaching skills is the best gift you could ever give to your dog.
Our curriculum is quite interesting, it starts by offering the BEST PUPPY CLASS for pups 10 weeks to 16 weeks a great head start on their life long journey of sharing their lives with their humans. For dogs five months to any age mature adult dog we offer a beginner OBEDIENCE 101 class. If you love it so far you can go on to the advanced OBEDIENCE 102/ CANINE GOOD CITIZEN class and for the more adventurous canine or human we offer amazing tricks and skits classes where the humans and canines work together to accomplish very cool scenarios like sending your dog to get you a drink from the fridge, play basket ball, get the mail, pick up any dropped item, skateboard, or open a door and then close the door, just to name a few.
We also have an acting group called the CANINE PLAYERS. The play that we are presenting to the community this year is "The Legend of Black Jack Bark and Sneaky Pete". The newest classes that we have added to our curriculum is AGILITY and FLYBALL.
The first Friday of every month we offer a FREE 'YAPPY HOUR'. Each month has theme. This is a social event that all non aggressive dogs are invited to along with their humans.
During the year we also offer interesting seminars along with gatherings to celebrate birthdays and holidays as well as memorials. The three seminars that we are currently offering are: AGILITY with Julie Jenkins on Aug 24th, ' The Language of Dogs', Canine Behavior lecture by Dr. Teena Byrd on Sept 29th, and Canine Massage by Gina Farago on Sept 19th. Click on Events to get all the current information on these seminars.
We like to think that your dog is limited only by your imagination, not by his or her innate abilities. Please view our web site and call us with any questions you may have concerning your dog or our dog school. We look forward to meeting you and your canine companions at school soon.
Oh................and don't forget to stop by and visit our Doggie Boutique and Grooming Salon. You are always welcome to visit any of our classes as you sip cappuccino in the Rory's Place Cafe located inside the boutique.
See you in school,
